Announcement: Channel 213 is expanding its frequencies…

Hello all! Long time no talk!

I have a plethora of articles to edit and publish, as well as plenty of backlog on reviews and artist submissions! Wanted to say thanks so much to everyone who continues to support this blog / site, and please keep sending us music to review!

But, it's announcement time now, as I want to break the silence and also introduce that Channel 213 will now be a whole collective of people all about growing the underground community and supporting artists!!! This way, all the things I want to accomplish can still be done without so much time of silence / inactivity!

In the past 5 months, I joined up writing for Everything Is Noise, played more shows with my band than I can even remember, upped the ante on production work for my projects, and have just altogether been away to where Channel 213 has been quite neglected. I've decided I'll be bringing back the radio broadcast / live end of things, as I'm exploring new platforms to make this possible without getting shutdown or having my content removed. (Thanks, YouTube!) But in addition to streaming music from underground artists, ramping up reviews, expanding the layers of content posted here and in general, and just generally delving deeper into building a community to support the underground - I now have a team of people I'm building to make it all work and not break my own back as hard!

I will still be writing articles and publishing, but have moved more towards an editorial role and am welcoming my new team of writers to the blog:

Among them are Gregory Johnson, Juno Fumai, and Mason Rowley. Expect to see pieces written by them real soon! I would also like to extend an invitation to any and all writers (especially those in the RVA area) who love music and the culture surrounding it to email me at channel213rva@gmail.com, or message me directly to join the team! We are always happy to accept any and all help we can get!

So once again, thanks so much for the support, and keep an eye out for other team members who will help oversee other forms of activity we partake in (live events, digital media, documentaries, etc., all coming soon!) as it is revealed! Happy listening and expect to see more changes very soon!
